How can I get free shipping?

Are these pads safe for light-colored quartz and marble?

Absolutely. Our pads — especially the 3-Step and Dry series — use a High-Temperature Resistant White Resin bond. This non-staining technology ensures zero pigment transfer to delicate white materials like Carrara or Calacatta marble.

Why are your pads more durable than cheaper alternatives?

Unlike DIY-grade pads found on mass marketplaces, our industrial-grade pads use a higher concentration of premium synthetic diamonds and precision-sintered resin bond — delivering longer lifespan and lower cost per square foot compared to standard retail alternatives.

What is the recommended RPM for these pads?

For optimal pad life and surface finish, we recommend 2,000–4,500 RPM. Do not exceed 5,000 RPM — overheating the resin bond causes premature segment loss and glazing.

💡 Pro Tip: For fine grits (1500+), drop to 1,800–2,200 RPM. Higher speed generates heat that can cause thermal micro-cracking in darker granites.

What is the difference between wet and dry polishing pads?

Wet pads suppress silica dust, extend pad life, and keep surface temperature stable — the professional standard for indoor countertop work. Dry pads are engineered for on-site use where water is impractical. Always pair dry polishing with a HEPA-rated dust extractor.

Can I skip grit levels to save time?

No. Each grit removes the scratch pattern left by the previous stage. Skipping from 200 to 800 grit leaves sub-surface micro-scratches invisible when wet but visible as haze after sealing. Our QC team rejects slabs for this reason regularly.

How do I achieve a mirror finish?

Work through all grit levels progressively from coarse to fine, finishing with a 3000 grit pad and a buff pad for maximum gloss. Consistent pressure and adequate water flow (for wet pads) are key to achieving a uniform mirror finish.

How do I clean and store polishing pads?

Rinse thoroughly with clean water after use. Air dry completely before storage. Store away from direct sunlight. Do not stack wet pads — trapped moisture accelerates Velcro delamination.


🏗️ Concrete Polishing

Can I use the same diamond pads for concrete and granite?

Not ideally. Granite polishing pads use a bond hardness calibrated for dense natural stone. Concrete — especially after densification — has different abrasion characteristics. Using granite pads on concrete often results in glazing (the pad stops cutting) or premature wear. Use pads specifically formulated for concrete and terrazzo for best results.

How many square feet can I expect from a set of concrete polishing pads?

On standard 3,500 PSI concrete, professional-grade 4-inch resin bond pads typically cover 300–800 sq ft per pad depending on grit (coarser grits wear faster). Metal bond pads for initial grinding cover 200–500 sq ft depending on surface condition. Track coverage by sq ft, not by time, to accurately forecast consumable costs.

Do I need to seal polished concrete after polishing?

A densifier is not a sealer — it hardens the concrete but does not provide stain resistance. For food service, retail, or residential applications where stain resistance is required, apply a penetrating concrete sealer after the final polishing stage. For industrial applications where chemical resistance is the priority, a topical coating may be more appropriate.


🔮 Quartz Polishing

Can quartz be re-polished after scratching?

Yes, in most cases. Light scratches (visible under raking light but not felt with a fingernail) can be removed starting at 400–800 grit. Deeper scratches that catch a fingernail require starting at 200 or coarser. Always test on a scrap piece or inconspicuous area first. Wet polishing only — dry polishing on quartz risks permanent heat damage to the resin binder.

Why does my quartz look hazy after polishing?

Hazing on quartz has three common causes: (1) Heat damage from dry polishing or insufficient water flow — permanent, requires re-polishing from a coarser grit. (2) Residual swarf not flushed from the surface — clean with water and a clean cloth before evaluating. (3) Resin transfer from a dark-colored bond pad — may buff out with a clean white pad at 3000 grit. Heat-related haze appears as a yellowed or milky zone that does not respond to further fine polishing.

What RPM should I use for quartz polishing?

Start at 1,500–2,000 RPM for coarse grits (50–200) and increase progressively to 3,500–4,500 RPM at fine grits (1500–3000). Never run above 2,500 RPM on quartz without continuous water flow. A variable-speed grinder is essential — fixed-speed tools at 10,000+ RPM will damage quartz surfaces.
